Morgan ~ dance portraits

"My favorite part of the session was Jeannie’s contagious energy. I think that her positive feedback throughout the session helped me loosen up a lot. My experience was a very positive one, and Jeannie made it feel like I had known her for years, though we were just meeting for the first time. Whether you are used to being in front of a camera or it is your first time being professionally photographed, Jeannie makes sure you are comfortable and happy with the photos. I just can’t say enough good things about my experience! It was just a very fun time and I felt like the session was a collaborative effort. I am a very tough critic when it comes to photos where I am the subject, but I was so, so happy with how the photos turned out even before they were edited. Thank you again for being such a joy to work with!"

"Before we set out for the boat ride to capture Alex doing some tricks, she asked him some questions about the type of pictures he was looking to capture. She was very thorough and had a real grasp of the image he was trying to obtain. The pictures truly captured the spirit of Alex. These are definitely moments that I will cherish forever! Thank you, Jeannie, for your time and professionalism in capturing these wonderful images of my son. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish!"

"I have always been kind of nervous when it comes to taking pictures because it shows my physical features like my acne and my weight. Those two things were something I always faced and still face. I cannot believe that both of those issues did not show up in these photos. ...Mrs. DeSena is so sweet so it made the experience even better. She also takes your suggestions/ideas and the things that you wanted into account. She listened to every insecurity and worry that I had coming into it and said 'We got this,' and clearly we did have it, because they looked beautiful.

"I believe that this made me shine and that I actually can look beautiful. I look fearless, determined, like a model, excited, strong, and just ready to take on the world!

"Thank you so much for making this experience something that I will never forget."

"Jeannie’s commitment to excellence sets her apart from others. She makes sure that every detail is considered and guides clients through the process at every turn. She thoughtfully incorporates the client’s expectations with her own professional eye to create photos that uniquely capture her subjects and perfectly tell their story.

"Jeannie expertly managed our time together, taking care to set up shots, while keeping things from growing stagnant or boring. Our session was such a pleasant experience that did not feel rushed, yet also seemed to move along at a pace that maximized our time together.

"Jeannie didn’t just take beautiful photos of our son, she beautifully captured his unique personality within the photos. When I look at the photos, I don’t just see pretty pictures, I see exactly who he is. Lots of people can take a good photo, but only Jeannie’s eye can capture a person’s true essence with a click of her camera."

"Being an amateur photographer and perfectionist, I was concerned that no professional photographer would meet my standards for attention to detail. Having met with Jeannie for a pre-session consultation, I was confident that she would meet my expectations, and at our actual session, she way surpassed my ideals. She quickly assessed each pose, corrected wardrobe/hair malfunctions and took numerous photos to ensure that we all looked comfortable, relaxed and at our best! Jeannie actually created some fun family moments, especially when she had us standing around the edge of the pool whilst she captured shadows and reflections. She even managed to take a great photo of both dogs and the whole family all looking in the same direction! She truly brought out the best in my teenage children with her patience and fun attitude and ability to take the pictures quickly.

"I truly appreciated Jeannie's time and patience to get to know me and my family before our photo session. I felt that she really understood my desired outcomes from that day, and she went above and beyond to ensure that it was a successful experience -- it still actually brings a small tear to my eye thinking about how she captured my family so beautifully, especially as it was my son's high school senior year. Thank you, Jeannie."

"Jeannie has such a calming demeanor, and the way she is able to chat with you on a personal level while adjusting lights, settings, snapping pictures, etc., was amazing!

"I would recommend Jeannie to my best friend by sharing how relaxed the entire experience was and how thrilled I was with the portraits she took. Jeannie was very professional in all my interactions with her, but yet was very approachable and easy to talk to and communicate my desired outcome.

"I definitely feel the images and service I received from Words & Pictures by Jeannie DeSena were well worth the time and investment. The turnaround time was exceeded my expectations, and the clarity of instructions for the entire process was top notch! Thank you, Jeannie!"

"We had a wonderful experience and all had such a fun time! I loved seeing how happy all three girls were doing this together!! Jeannie was also so patient with them! You worked so well with my kids, and we never felt rushed! The pictures also turned out beautiful! I used the portraits for Christmas card, a canvas for my home and plan to order more prints for myself and grandparents, family, etc."
